Library Safety Guidelines
The Geauga Campus Library wants to ensure your safety and so it is important to practice Kent State's Safety Principles. In order to keep everyone safe, we need your cooperation.
Some additional guidelines to consider while working in the campus library:
Access to specific materials are placed on reserve by faculty, but students can also make requests for items to be placed on reserve (for group projects)
The library has a specific career books collection which provides resources for writing resumes, preparing for job interviews, writing cover letters, and discipline specific career books. All of these resources can be checked out through KentLINK.
The library has an array of resources for education and nursing majors. These resources include textbooks, study guides, materials for specific assignments, subject-specific handouts, testing materials. There are various MCED level textbooks and juvenile texts for assignments and lesson planning. (Students at the TAC can check out these resources by contacting the library director)
Students can make consultation appointments with Dr. Hricko for their research, reference, or citation queries. Please contact Dr, Mary Hricko at mhricko@kent.edu to set up a meeting at either location.
Remote access students in online courses can send Dr. Hricko an email to set up an online meeting or telephone meeting regarding library matters (research, reference, instructional services).
Library Instruction and Subject Specific Instruction
Students can also set up individual appointments to go over specific research projects.
Dr. Mary Hricko conducts the Plagiarism School for students at the TAC and Geauga Campuses.

In the room behind the library circulation desk, there are resources and textbook materials available for students in the Nursing and Middle Childhood Education Programs. These resources include the following items:

Physical Materials Pick-up
Geauga Campus and Twinsburg Academic Center
The Geauga Campus Library provides library services to the Geauga Campus and Twinsburg Academic Center.
If would prefer curbside pickup at the Geauga Campus, please call (440-834-3717) or email Mary Hricko (mhricko@kent.edu) in order to coordinate a day and time for you to pickup/return materials.
Twinsburg Public Library pick-up drop off location
The Twinsburg Public Library is located at 10500 Ravenna Road.
If you are picking up/returning books to the Twinsburg Public Library, please contact the Twinsburg Public Library directly about the TPL’s curbside pickup schedule at the following number (330-425-4268).
Please have your University ID available to pick up materials at TPL.
The library has several laptop computers that students can check out and use within the library for doing work within the library. Students can print their documents using the library computers. These computers cannot be checked out for overnight use. To ensure safety, computers will be cleaned after patron use.
There is a copy machine in the library. Students can use their FLASHLINE card to print or purchase a print card in the library. The print card station is located near the copy machine. Students can purchase a print cards for $1 or $5. The library cannot provide change for the print card machine. For assistance, please contact the library staff. The library staff is not responsible for lost print cards.
Many students place money on their flashcards for printing. Instructions to put money on your FLASHCARD can be found at the following link: FLASHCARD - Add Cash
For students who do not have a FLASHcard, please stop by the Office of Services to get a card.
At this time, to ensure the safety of our students, the Geauga Campus Library's group study rooms and conference room will not be available for use.
Please contact Dr. Mary Hricko to help you set up safe alternative study groups through the use of e-tools.
